Wild Heart Art Exhibition of German Neo-Expressionism since 1960s,

Wild Heart Art Exhibition of German Neo-Expressionism since 1960s was organized as part of the “Peers - 2014 Art Museum Joint Exhibition" series, from August 1 to October 10, 2014 in the China Art Museum, Shanghai. The international curator was Dr. Bayat, Director of the Museum Ludwig, Cologne, Germany. The exhibition focussed on the rise of the German Neo-Expressionist movement from the 1960s onwards, as well as the development of new figuration. Containing more than 85 Neo-Expressionist paintings of the late 20th century, the exhibition included important works by Georg Baselitz, Jörg Immendorff, Anselm Kiefer, Gerhard Richter, and many other famous artists familiar to Chinese audiences.
